Quick Beer Bread

Yield: 1 loaf

This recipe is from Moogie. This bread plus low fat cream cheese, sprouts and sliced cucumbers makes an excellent sandwich. I've always thought this would be a good boat bread because it is so simple to make but have yet to try it on board.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Mix:

3 c flour
1/3 c sugar
4 t baking powder
1 t salt
12 oz beer at room temperature
1 T dill weed (dried works fine; if fresh, use 2 T and chop fine)

Pour into greased 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan and bake 55 minutes at 350 degrees F.

Brush top with:

2 T melted butter (optional)

Cool before slicing.
