Roast in frying pan, large enough so nuts are in one layer, over medium-high heat:
1 t sugar/12-15 nuts
Cook, stirring constantly, until sugar has melted onto the nuts, about 3-5 minutes. Be careful not to burn! Sugar will caramelize and turn golden brown very quickly once this process has started. Be sure nuts are coated as evenly as possible with the sugar glaze and then remove to a cool plate to cool.
